Old Mutual service poor



I WOULD like to warn the public about Old Mutual. I received a letter from Old Mutual Pencare dated August 23, 2002 regarding payment of pension in respect of my late wife. I duly provided the co

mpany with the required documentation and awaited disbursement.


Since November 2002 to date, I have spoken to the manager Pencare, a Mrs Macheka, and several other personnel, namely Sandra Mabika and T Nyamombe. I have faxed the office on numerous occasions but the response has always been the same. That the pension was still being calculated. It takes Old Mutual more than a year to process a simple pension and the most annoying is the non-response to enquiries.


Even if the company is not computerised the period taken to process such issues is beyond imagination.


If they decide to pay on this claim surely with the levels of inflation the amounts disbursed will be meaningless.
