Gospel musician Blessing Shumba has finished recording his third album that will be released by the end of this month.

REPORT BY TAWANDA MARWIZI Shumba has hogged the limelight with his two albums, Ishe Wazvose and NdiMwari that were well-received by his fans.

The musician however told Standardlife&style on Friday that it was unfair for him to continue singing these old songs, hence the need for a new project.

“We have been playing songs from our previous albums but the tracks are less than 20, so we risk giving insufficient material to our fans,” he said.

The album will feature eight songs, although he has recorded more.

The musician said he committed his work to God and he hoped to preach through his songs.

“I was an engineer but then God called me to be a pastor and I had no option but to work for him. I am happy about how people have accepted Him through my music.”

He thanked fellow musician Bethen Pasinawako and her husband Layton for being committed in working with his Holy Spirit Sounds.

“They have been working with me all along and I want to thank them forthat.

I hope we will continue to work together in preaching the word of God.”

“Besides pursuing a solo career, Bethen collaborates with Shumba at a number of shows while her husband is the group’s producer and keyboardist.
