Lenox Nyamundanda (23) from Honde Valley appeared before Mutare Magistrate Charles Murove and was remanded in custody.

He was asked to appeal to the High Court for bail.

It is alleged that on February 16 this year, Nyamundanda wanted to force a passenger into his vehicle at Hauna Business Centre. The passenger refused, leading to an altercation.

The court heard that Nyamundanda then grabbed the passenger by his neck and head-butted him once on the forehead.

The passenger then complained of a severe headache and was then referred to Mutare provincial hospital the same day. He died on his way to the hospital.

Nelson Makunyire prosecuted.
