The video, which featured renowned actor Arnold Tongai Chirisa, who is now based in Hollywood, at the advent of urban grooves music made waves on continental music channel, Channel O, making Tia recognisable beyond Zimbabwean borders.

The musician said she has continued to pursue her musical passion and recently released a new single, Gimme Love, which is receiving fair attention on different radio stations in South Africa.

“I was quiet for a while focussing on my studies at Monash University in South Africa and I am now back with my new single Gimme Love as I am working on an album to be released before the end of the year,” Tia said.

“I have already started working on an accompanying video as my aim is to penetrate much on the regional market and then strive to get onto the international platform.”

Tia said she was overwhelmed by the response to her single which is being played on over 20 radio stations in South Africa.

“For this single, Gimme Love I was inspired by personal experiences and interpretation of daily events both in the Zimbabwean and South African communities to which I have been exposed,” Tia said.

Tia’s music and videos have managed to capture the attention of many music enthusiasts locally and regionally.

The musician was introduced to the world with the album Spice It Up which she recorded in 2007 and later earned her a string of accolades including the Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima) for the best female urban groover.
