“Team Zimbabwe must get ready and be prepared to give Team India a rousing welcome,” he said while in Barbados where he and chief executive officer Wilfred Mukondiwa are attending the International Cricket Council (ICC) Annual Conference week which began in the island’s capital Bridgetown last Monday.

“While negotiations are still going on in Barbados, with respect to the Team India tour to Zimbabwe, it seems confirmed that the tour will go ahead. Consequently, Team India is expected in Zimbabwe on July 7.

On the sidelines of their respective meetings during the week, both Manase and Mukondiwa, discussed with their Board of Control for Cricket in India counterparts issues which should be resolved before the India tour of Zimbabwe.

The ZC chairman did not go further, only adding that “the issue of the broadcaster is an ongoing issue which needs to be sorted out and resolved sooner or later after the tour.” He however did not give further details.
