BY THANDIWE MOYO HWANGE completed a double over Chicken Inn, handing them their first defeat at Luveve Stadium in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match on Saturday.

Collen Muleya struck the solitary goal for Hwange in the 42nd minute after Chicken Inn failed to clear, leaving goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze vulnerable.

Hwange coach, who criticised match officiating when they lost to the same team in the Chibuku Cup, said they had proved to their supporters that they were hard done by the officiating.

He said: “We are happy we collected maximum points, but we are still not comfortable with our position on the log because we are not far off from the bottom teams,” Dube said.

Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas said they had not utilised their chances despite dominating the match.

“I thought we were unfortunate. We had chances and we dominated but no goals. It’s all about goals. We have to keep our heads up and regroup for our next assignment,” he said.
