JOHANNESBURG — Bulelwa Mkutukana, better known as Zahara is said to be pregnant and will be walking down the aisle soon.
According to a report by Drum magazine, Zahara is said to be in the early stages of her pregnancy. The father seems to be her long-time boyfriend, DJ Amza from Umhlobo Wenene FM. The two have been together for quite some time and are ready to take the trip down the aisle.
News of her engagement comes after her new album Country Girl went platinum in less than 24 hours. Zahara rose to fame with her hit song Loliwe, a song which took the South African music industry by storm.
She has won numerous awards over the years, including a South African Music Award (Sama) for Best Female Artist. However, things have not been easy for Zahara as she has been plagued by many rumours, with some claiming she was broke and her house was about to be repossessed.
In recent weeks, the rumour mill also said she was struggling with alcohol after she was reportedly dumped by her boyfriend, which came to be untrue. Last year, her brother Mbuyiseli was shot dead and his body was found 3km from his home village of Phumlani.
Again, earlier this year, another rumour came out, saying TS Records had dropped her. The songstress simply shut all this rumours with an Instagram post saying she was in studio working on her new album which she would release later this year.
Although reports of her pregnancy have been widely circulating, Zahara has neither confirmed nor denied the claims. If it’s true, congratulations to the mommy to be.
