Speaking to The Standard Style last week, Alexio said he had a track record to prove what he can do.

“People who were at our last show with Mafikizolo know we brought the house down and this time we are planning to do more,” said the confident singer who is one of the handful successful urban groovers.

“We have been playing as a band for a long time now and it has made us one of the tightest bands around. We will give the audience the best performance to shut down the year with.”

Kawara, who has also been consistent with hits each time he releases, said he would be releasing a new single at the gig.

He said the single called Chakaipa, a collaboration with fellow urban groover Roki, was evidence of the amount of work that he put into his forthcoming album to be released next year.

“We are also releasing a single this year called Chakaipa, featuring Roki which we will play on the day. The reason why we have decided to release singles before our album launch in April 2016 is because we want to get a couple of our songs to get enough audience because of the amount of effort we have put on every song on the album Oyi,” he said.
