The Poland championship record winners find themselves languishing second from bottom on the country’s 16-team Ekstraklasa (Top league), with just 21 points from 21 matches, nine minutes before the end of the current season.

Gornik Zabrze confirmed the development to a Polish sports publication Slack Sport on New Year’s Eve.

“The club is negotiating termination of agreements with three players. As reported that in the next few days Górnik Zabrze will be saying goodbye to some players, the club leadership is in talks on early termination of Mariusz Przybylski, Dzikamai Gwaze and Maciej Manki’s contracts,” the club was quoted saying.

The former DT Africa United player who joined the Polish giants in 2014 from LZS Poitrowka has featured for Zabrze once this season and has been part of the reserves team.

Gwaze has failed to impress coach Leszek Ojrzynski, who last played him against Zaglebie Lubin back in August and the coach has told the club that the Zimbabwean is no longer in his plans in the season’s home stretch.

A product of Wieslaw Grabowki’s talent nurturing projects, Gwaze is one of the few players who never played in the local premiership but made the grade in Europe.
