Organisers of the event, Xtratime Entertainment, confirmed the development.

“These local boys are funny; in fact, they are crazy”, said Xtratime Entertainment spokesperson Tonderai Mwaita.

“Q The Boss has toured South Africa and the United States, cracking jokes. He relishes sharing his comedy experience on the Reps Theatre stage come May 28.”

Mwaita said The Goatie was new on the Zimbabwean comedy scene, having spent the better part of his adult life outside the country where he was studying arts.

The Goatie had an opportunity to attend the 2013 Oscar awards where he was one of the ushers.

“Probeatz is coming on the scene with the final act of the night. The standout comedian has the ability to incorporate popular genres like sungura, hip-hop, kwaito and dancehall into the symphony of music that can raise the crowds,” Mwaita said.

Mwaita said tickets for the comedy show could be bought online.

“For convenience, payments can be made online at www.thespotlight.co.zw, or by mobile transfer platforms,” he said.

He said local and international visa and mastercards were welcome while those with bank cards that use the ZimSwitch facility can buy the tickets at the Reps Theatre foyer.

Vlismas is a global comedian who won the 2007 best stand-up comedian of the year award and was a finalist in the Yuk Yuk’s great Canadian laugh off. He is known for his outspoken and observational humour. He also has the ability to comment on situations related to social, political and economic affairs.
