The result means that Bulawayo City brought to a halt a two-match losing streak to earn a valuable point which leave them in ninth position with 31 points.

Chapungu, on the other hand, remain a point behind their visitors, but lie in 12th position as the two sides all but extinguish chances of getting relegated this season.

After the game, Chapungu coach John Nyikadzino felt his charges could have done more to collect maximum points.

“Obviously I am disappointed with the result as we would have loved to pick maximum points, but a draw is not a bad result either,” he said.

The reverse fixture between the two teams also petered out into a one-all draw in Bulawayo back in May Bulawayo City coach Try Ncube was happy with the outcome of the match considering they were away from home.

“A draw is a good result, especially coming from a three match winless streak.

“But with a little bit of luck, we could have grabbed maximum points,” said Ncube.
