The Boma, found at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, has for the fourth consecutive year been named winner of a very prestigious Zim on a Plate award.

Having won The Award of Excellence for three years in a row for the amazing dining experience it consistently presents, this year, The Boma becomes the first recipient of a brand new award introduced by the 2009 Judging Panel. This award was debated by the Review Team as a possibility during 2008, with a view to introducing it for 2009. At the judging session, the review team voted to make this idea a reality.

The Boma won the Award of Excellence three times over because what it offers shows such tremendous imagination, and is delivered with excellence in every aspect, offering the true WOW factor that Zim on a Plate is always looking for. So it is no surprise that this well-conceived and welcome new award went to The Boma, clearly the most outstanding contender for this important new award, in the imagination and creativity that has gone into the experience it provides.

The Boma has maintained extraordinarily high standards and delivered a thoroughly memorable dining experience to both Zimbabweans and visitors to our country for the duration of the competition to date. This exciting, colourful experience includes a massed drumming session in which diners participate, along with dramatic dancers, fortune tellers, craftspeople, story tellers, face painters, and more, all with an amazing, vibrant ambience. And of course, the food and service are great too!
