LEADERS Black Mambas will play Njube Sundowns in a premiership promotion play-off at Baghdad Stadium, Kwekwe, today.
Mambas shot to the top of the four-team log table after beating Bulawayo-based Quelaton 4-3 at Torwood Stadium on Wednesday. The police side led by former Dynamos’ striker Sebastian Mutizirwa will be looking forward to bagging three more points to make a quick come back into premiership. In another match Quelaton will be out to restore lost pride after that defeat to Mambas when they meet Masvingo United at Torwood Stadium. Masvingo United played a goalless draw against Sundowns in their opening match. The final matches of the play-offs will be on Wednesday when Mambas will meet Masvingo United with Quelaton taking on Sundowns. Sundowns will be looking forward to their playmaker Thabani Kamusoko to pick up his form as he is said to have performed below par during their opening match. The final matches will then decide which team will join the ticket to top-flight football. Northern Regions’ Douglas Warriors, Shabanie Mine from Southern Region and FC Victoria from Eastern Region have qualified for the premiership.
