ZAMBIAN coach Keagan Mumba has resigned from army team Black Rhinos and has already signed a two-year contract with Dynamos as technical director, it was established yesterday. <
Mumba confirmed to IndependentSport that he had cut ties with the army side and was already contracted to Dynamos.
“I have resigned today from Rhinos,” he said yesterday. “It was on moral grounds because we couldn’t agree as a technical department. I have signed a two-year deal with Dynamos as technical director and will start immediately.”
Mumba, who came to Zimbabwe last year to join Dynamos, had a nightmarish experience at Rhinos, with the army team currently on 12th position on the 16-team Premier Soccer League log.
The Dynamos management committee has been negotiating with Mumba for a long period. The outspoken mentor yesterday said the management committee had apologised over the manner it had treated him last year before they parted ways.
“I hope to work with everyone at Dynamos and achieve goals. I also hope the guys there will accept me in good faith,” said Mumba.
