A duty manager at Courtney Hotel confirmed that the ZWSL had an outstanding payment.
“The Mighty Warriors incurred a bill of $24 million, but only $5 million was paid by the association (WSL),” said the manager.
“The committee was supposed to meet all the team’s expenses. It is surprising that it only managed to pay $5 million when it claimed to have raised $23 million for the tournament,” said a source within the WSL.
