TWO leading South African dancers will feature in the National Ballet’s production of A Season of Dance, which runs in Harare from July 19 to 22.
Sarah King and Andries Weidemann are being brought to Harare from the
South African Ballet Theatre to star in the show, which will take place at Reps Theatre and which will also feature a number of top Zimbabwean dancers, among them Natalie Bradbury, Petrina Malahias and Mathias Julius.
A Season of Dance is the annual mid-year presentation from the National Ballet and will this year include ballet, as well as contemporary, acrobatic, modern and tap dance.
“This is the National Ballet’s 50th anniversary year, so we are delighted to have such a good show featuring top talent from South Africa and Zimbabwe,” said National Ballet chairman, Eve Stranix. — Own Correspondent.
