US singer Beyoncé is to perform at this year’s Black Entertainment TV (BET) awards, it has been announced.
The singer has five nods, including one for best female R&B artist and two in the video of the year category for If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies.
Organisers also confirmed the 27-year-old would be attending the ceremony with her husband, rapper Jay-Z. Oscar-winning actor and singer Jamie Foxx will host the show on 28 June from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Rapper TI also has five nods, while Lil Wayne, T-Pain and Keri Hilson have four each. British star MIA has two nominations – for best female hip-hop artist and best new artist.
Kanye West, Maxwell, Young Jeezy, Ne-Yo and Soulja Boy will also be performing at the show. Last year, West took home awards for best male hip-hop artist and best collaboration for Good Life, featuring T-Pain. – BBCOnline.
