KAIZER Chiefs are alleged to have picked up information that their former coach Muhsin Ertugral is interested in luring their captain Tinashe Nengomasha to Turkey and they have started preparing for life without the influential Zimbabwean.

Ertugral resigned from Ajax Cape Town after turning their fortunes around and accepted the position of head coach at Turkish side Sivasspor but has already identified a couple of positions he wants to fill with local players.

He has already approached Ajax Cape Town with the possibility of bringing in winger “Speedy Gonzalez” otherwise better known as Franklyn Cale as well as nuggety midfielder Clifford Ngobeni.

Negotiations are said to be ongoing with the “Urban Warriors” but now the temperamental coach famous for throwing tantrums on the touchline is said to have switched his attention to the Chiefs strongman.

But whether Chiefs will release a man who has been among their better performers this season and who has also assumed the role of captain since Jimmy Tau lost the armband remains to be seen.

At the beginning of the season Nengomasha was reportedly reluctant to extend his contract with Kaizer Chiefs and at that time it was rumoured that the Zimbabwean linkman was considering jumping ship to join their rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

However, following a visit to Harare by Amakhosi’s director of football Bobby Motaung during the off-season, Nengomasha attached his signature to a new and improved contract and has been playing his socks off in the heart of their engine room. —Supersport.
