The former champions stopped the BancABC Cup final between Dynamos and Caps United in September through a High Court order. Highlanders approached the court after an ad-hoc PSL committee had ruled in favour of Dynamos after a semi-final match between the two giants was abandoned. Bosso had then protested against a penalty awarded to the Harare side. Dynamos were leading 1-0 when the match was called off.PSL chairman Twine Phiri declined to comment on the move by the league to haul Highlanders before the disciplinary committee for taking football matters to court in violation of Fifa statues.“I cannot comment on that at the moment,” Phiri said. He said the BancABC cup final would go ahead at a date to be announced.PSL sources told IndependentSport that summons were being prepared to bring Highlanders before the disciplinary committee.“Summons will definitely be served next week,” the source said. “The PSL management felt that Bosso’s actions had compromised the rest of the league as they risked losing the BancABC sponsorship. In any case, it is an offence within the Fifa statutes to take football matters to court and everyone knows that. They (Highlanders) cannot go unsanctioned, that would set a bad precedence.”Bosso were this week booted out of the tournament by a second ad-hoc committee, giving Dynamos a final berth where they face Harare rivals Caps. The PSL management is battling to put its house in order as they seek sponsorship for the league which was unbranded this year.Last week, Phiri said the league was close to sealing a deal with a potential sponsor.The chaos that has characterised the Banc BC final left the sponsors on the brink of pulling out.With Highlanders facing a hefty fine from PSL over the troubled BancABC final, Fathi is in the country awaiting a labour court judgment over US$17 625 he claims he is owed by the Bulawayo outfit.Fathi has already been paid $11 000 by Highlanders after a ruling by the same court.Fathi’s manager Omega Sibanda yesterday said: “We are waiting for judgment regarding the rest of the money Fathi is owed. We were hoping to get it last week but I am sure it will be delivered any time soon.”The Egyptian coach had a meeting with Zifa president Cuthbert Dube last week and also met with PSL’s Phiri in an attempt to get his dues early.
