Tafadzwa dominates FC Platinum awards

Soccer Star of the Year first runner-up Tafadzwa Dube was unstoppable once again as he dominated FC Platinum awards, winning two categories at the colourful event that was held in Zvishavane yesterday.

Dube, who had a blinder of a season at the platinum miners, scooped the Player of the Season award before bouncing back on the stage to snatch the Consistent Player award.

Dube has been consistent indeed as he proved to have the second safest hands in the league after Washington Arubi.  He conceded only 12 goals for the entire season.

Other award winners were pint-sized winger Raymond Sibanda who never puts his foot wrong in the field of play, scooping the Most Disciplined Player award.

Charles Sibanda walked away with the Golden Boot award after banging in 10 goals for the platinum miners. Another Soccer Star of the Year finalist, Donald Ngoma, got away with the Impact Player of the Year award with skipper Zephaniah Ngodzo scooping the President’s Special Award. Menard Mupera was voted the Players’ Players of the Year.—  OWN STAFF
