Kubatana school receives US$3 000 donation

Comment & Analysis
KUBATANA Primary School in Epworth last week received US$3 000 worth of stationery and other accessories from the Defence for Children International-Zimbabwe (DCIZ), in the organisation’s  endeavour to support less privileged children in the society.

The stationery was sourced with the help of the Chinese Embassy in Harare. DCIZ national director, Alfas Shangwa, said the school had an enrolment of up to 2 500 pupils, mostly from the surrounding communities. Shangwa said the donations were aimed at raising awareness of the existence of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and creating a friendly environment for children to exercise their rights.
