Defending Copa Coca-Cola champions Vainona High School put up an inspiring perfomance to book a place in the final of the Under-17 girls competition to be played at Chinotimba Stadium, Victoria Falls against Chidyamakono this morning.The Harare Province representatives beat Matinunura from Midlands 2-0 in the semi-finals while Chidyamakono (Masvingo) qualified after beating Glen View 1 High, 3-1 on penalties. The match had ended goalless in full-time. In the Under-16 boys category, Mzingwane (Matabeleland South) and Pamushana (Masvingo) are in the running for the coveted title after winning their respective semi-final berths. Pamushana beat Marange 4-0 while Mzingwane edged Hwange 1-0 in the semi-finals. The winners of the competition in the boys section will pocket US$6 500 while the girls team that emerges winners will receive US$3 000. —
