THE Women’s University in Africa (WUA) will this week host an international conference in Harare to discuss ways of empowering women through tertiary education.

THE Women’s University in Africa (WUA) will this week host an international conference in Harare to discuss ways of empowering women through tertiary education. WUA said the conference, which will be officially opened by Vice-President Joice Mujuru who is a WUA alumnus, will be graced by senior officials from women’s universities from across the world, academics, diplomats and politicians. It will be held under the theme “Sustainable Development through University Partnerships to Empower Women for Leadership Roles”.

  Other speakers include Professor Liu Jinan, President of the World Women University Presidents Forum and Honorary President, Communication University of China. Vice-chancellor and co-founder of WUA, Professor Hope Sadza, will also be among keynote speakers. — STAFF WRITER
