Legendary player and coach Moses Chunga has once again taken a sabbatical from football after failing to save Gunners from relegation.

In a season where the “Bambo Magic” failed to work at the two clubs he coached, Chunga has decided to take time off the game to recharge his batteries.
At the beginning of the year, Chunga decided to take a break from football, but returned to take up a technical director post at Black Mambas after four games into the season but ironically performed the duties of the head coach.
The nomadic coach then threw in the towel in late June, leaving the police side wallowing in the relegation zone, only for his successor John “Toto” Ncube to save the club from demotion on the last day of the season. In late August, Bambo rejoined Gunners for a third stint at the club he guided to championship glory in 2009. Ending this season badly bruised, the former Dynamos striker has decided to take a retreat from the game.
“I am going to rest. Let me take a break from football. I just want to forget about football for now and I am not sure when I will return,” said Chunga.
Chunga’s poor run this term is a far cry from his past exploits, especially when he lifted the league title three years ago.
In the 2011 season, he joined Gunners mid-season with the club second from bottom on the log table, with just two points above basement side Shooting Stars before rescuing them to fifth-place finish.

It was a season where Chunga asserted his credentials as one of the finest coaches on the land when he defied harsh conditions that saw Gunners losing 14 senior players during mid-season.
The 47-year-old’s sabbatical could however, clash with an invitation by his former Belgium club Eendracht Aalst, who requested that he kick off one of their home games.
