Slippery midfielder Mitchell Katsvairo rose from the bench to score the solitary goal that made the difference in the 93rd minute to send Platinum miners fans into a frenzy. Katsvairo was introduced in the 84th minute for Charles Sibanda and the move paid off for Tenant Chilumba who was almost running short of ideas. Tripple B coach Friday Phiri complained over what he called poor officiating from the match referee Thomas Masa.

Masa dished out seven yellow cards to Tripple B players with the first one falling on Moses Makanje before the match had even started for kicking the centre circle mark responding to juju antics.

From Rufaro Albert Marufu reports that Harare City maintained their winning form after beating Chicken Inn at Rufaro.

Harare City, who beat Black Mambas 2-1 on May Day, got their goals through Dickson Crispen’s second minute free-kick before Tonisani Sibanda seemingly harmless effort inside the box ensured the equliser for the visitors.

However, Harare City had other ideas as Orsborn Mukuradare stole the winner four minutes later after getting to the end of Silas Songani’s pass from the right.

Chicken Inn, who beat CAPS United 1-0 in their last league match, will however feel hard done after referee Brighton Wagoneka denied them what looked like a genuine penalty after Phenias Bamusi handled in the box in the second half. caps united lose again

CAPS United recorded their second straight Castle Lager Premier Soccer League loss after going down 3-2 to Shabanie Mine at Gwanzura yesterday.

Caleb Masocha and Leonard Fiyado grabbed a brace each but the visitors found their third goal through Farai Mususunye.

Away from the action on the pitch, an altercation ensued in the VIP enclosure at halftime when some CAPS United marshals assaulted a Shabanie Mine security officer in a juju-inspired incident that also sucked in suspended Shabanie defenders Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe and Philip Sithole.

The result however helped Shabanie make a great escape from the basement to settle at position 11 where they could just sit for 24 hours if Hwange, Motor Action, Triangle and Black Rhinos win their respective matches today. Mike Madyira
