Fullback Kilvan Magunje planted two tries, one which he converted with the other being converted by flyhalf Denver Chidhindi. George Savhadza’s penalty was a consolation for the visitors in an entertaining match in which Magunje was scintillating.

In another match played earlier on at the same venue, Zvishavane Bulls continued to sing the blues following a 19-8 defeat by Western Panthers.

Panthers hit the ground running with an early try from lock Tichaona Pamhadzi.

Fletcher Ndlovu and Kuda Chimukuyu weighed in with two tries while Maibongwe Ncube added four points from the boot.

Bulls, who are yet to win a match this season, managed only one try from flank Lendiel Tshuma and a penalty from Emmanuel Munyoro.

Following last week’s violent scenes that marred the Midlands Derby between GSC and Bulls match, NRL president Noddy Kanyangara graced yesterday’s double header. Meanwhile, Old Georgians beat Harare Sports Club 26-21 in a high profile league match played in Harare.
