Mount Pleasant Jesuit Education Catholic Priest father Joe Arimoso confirmed this event to Standardsport yesterday and added that everything was set for the games to begin.

“We have been there for several years now. We have discovered that it is worthwhile to come up with an annual event in honour of KitAid who have been supplying us with football kits for so many years,” said Father Arimoso.

Sixteen teams are expected to grace the event with two categories, Under-13 and the Under-20s, with each category set to have eight teams.

“The idea is not to reward teams, so we are going to have a lot of individual prizes for outstanding players.”

KitAid is a charitable organisation based in the United Kingdom. They have links with big teams, which then give them kits that they give out to developing countries.
