Sprouting Football club are withdrawing Morris Kadzola and Allan Tavarwisa from Dynamos following the Harare giants’ failure to pay the players’ transfer fee.

The duo would be recalled on July 1 when the mid-season transfer window opens and have already found homes at some unnamed clubs.

Sprouting permanently transferred the players during pre-season in an agreement where Dynamos were supposed to pay US$27 000 for both players in three equal tranches by June 30.

But concerted efforts to get the money from the defending league champions have drawn blanks.

Defender Kadzola joined Dynamos from a loan spell at Motor Action while forward Tavarwisa was coming from a similar deal at Hwange.

They each signed three-year contracts.

Sprouting wrote to Dynamos secretary Webster Chikengezha in a letter copied to chief executive officer Casper Muzenda, treasurer Webster Marechera and coach Kalisto Pasuwa advising them of their intention to withdraw the players’ services.

“We have tried without success to conclude the agreement we had for the above mentioned players. The agreement we had with your full executive (excluding the Chairman) entails that you would have paid 67% of the total and the full amount of the agreed fee, but up until now, your club has paid absolutely nothing,” wrote Sprouting.

“We have as a club, resolved to recall the players as of July 1, 2013. We will however repay you half the amount you paid to Morris Kadzola for signing on fees as he served you for the half year.

“It has been pretty frustrating trying to get hold of you and it seems that we are bothering you yet football is now a business and effectively the agreement we had is our invoice to Dynamos Football Club. We have been patient but it seems we have been treated like a smaller party in this transaction.”

But Dynamos vice chairman Webster Chikengezha professed ignorance of receiving such letter.

“I do not know anything about the letter and this issue. I am not in a position to comment on whether we have paid the money for the players or not,” said Chikengezha.

“If Sprouting are withdrawing the players, then we will cross the bridge when we get there. For now I would rather reserve my comments.”

If the players are withdrawn, this could provide a headache to Pasuwa who is already facing the grim prospect of losing some of his key players to foreign clubs.

If Kadzola goes, Dynamos would be greatly affected in defence if centre-back Partson Jaure, full-back Ocean Mushure and defensive linkman Devon Chafa successfully complete moves to South Africa where they have reportedly attracted interest.

They are also battling to fully settle lanky defender Sydney Linyama’s transfer fee from Chicken Inn.

“We are left with little for Linyama. We are almost there. I am sure very soon we would have paid in full,” said Chikengezha.

Pasuwa is said to have been given a blank cheque to shop for players of his choice but the gaffer is reported to have queried the club executive if they are capable of paying for the new acquisitions.
