Mambas opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Frank Banda after the Gamecocks defence failed to clear the ball after some good work by Joseph Mutambiranwa. The Gamecocks restored parity four minutes later through Mkhokheli Dube.

Six minutes before the half-time break Patrick Muswere hit a scorcher from 25 metres.

Former Warriors international Clement Matawu scored from a rebound after Mambas goalkeeper Tonderai Mateyaunga failed to handle a tame shot from Danny Phiri.

Tsepo Rantokoane grabbed the winning goal for Warumwa Warumwa in the 64th minute.

At Motor Action Sports Club, Winstone Antonio reports that Motor Action’s chances of surviving relegation went up in smoke when they were held to a goalless draw by equally struggling Tripple B at Motor Action Sports Club yesterday.

The visitors who played better football than the hosts could have found the target as early as two minutes but Webster Chingodza’s effort found Itai Chiwara who was guarding the post for Motor Action equal to the task.

Strikers from both teams lacked precision in front of the goal as they took turns to miss chances that came their way.
