Mutyakureva is expected to watch Chiefs in action before they host the Tswana side on February 9.

“We are trying to gather as much information as we can on Chiefs. We believe sending coach Philemon there will help us a lot,” said team manager Richard Chihoro.

The last time Dynamos visited Botswana was in May 2010 when they played Gaborone United in the first round of the Champions League. They prevailed 5-1 on aggregate.

Preparations for the 2014 season began early this month with new acquisitions Tafadzwa Rusike, Walter Mukanga and Ronald Chitiyo training with the team.

“We have been training for the past two weeks and for us to be fully ready for the season we need about eight weeks. The players have been responding well to our training regime where we are training twice a week,” he said.

The Glamour Boys are without head coach Kalisto Pasuwa and seven players who are with the Warriors at the African Nations Championships (Chan).

“We are communicating with Pasuwa everyday and we are following the training programme he left us,” said Chihoro.

“We are happy that the guys who are with the national team are getting adequate training. The other good thing is that most of them were with the club last season so it will be easy to deal with them when they are back because they are already in the system,” he said.

DeMbare yesterday continued with preparations for the new season with a friendly match against Black Rhinos.

They won 2-0 with Sydney Linyama and Ocean Mushure on target.
