Former Highlanders coach Kelvin “KK” Kaindu is strongly linked with a move to Dynamos after current coach Kalisto Pasuwa made it clear that he was leaving the club at the expiry of his contract next month.

The Zimbabwe champions have also lined up former son Taurai Mangwiro for the coaching job.
A former Bosso player in the late 1990s, a Kaindu crossover to Dynamos would be one of the stunning moves of the off season.
Club chairman Keni Mubaiwa told Standardsport that they are vetting Kaindu and Mangwiro.
“Ras Pasuwa”, as most DeMbare fans call him, guided DeMbare to four straight league championships, from 2011 to 2014 after taking over the reins from Lloyd Mutasa.
However, Pasuwa could not consummate his marriage with DeMbare’s hard-to-please fans as he failed the club in the African Safari on numerous occasions, failing to reach the group stage each time the club played in the Champions League under his three-and-a-half- year reign.
By winning the 2014 league championship, Pasuwa carved his own piece of history, becoming the first coach in the history of Zimbabwean football to win four straight league titles in a row.

Plans to have Pasuwa’s replacement have begun with Kaindu explorations confirmed by boss Mubaiwa who could not hide his love for the Zambian coach and his style of play.
According to Mubaiwa, who has broken the bad news that the Glamour Boys would not be participating in the Champions League this year due to financial constraints, the Zambian gaffer who is now a proud recipient of Uefa B coaching badges, is one of the best candidates that can suit the DeMbare job.
“It will be very sad to see Kalisto Pasuwa going, but he has done a lot for us. We need to wish him well in his next assignment as a coach. This has happened to Dynamos before. We have had people like Moses Chunga, Cuthbert Malajila, George Chigova and many more leaving the club for greener pastures, but life has to go on,” Mubaiwa said.
Mangwiro is a former Dynamos player and has been receiving a battering from CAPS fans for maintaining secret ties with the champions.
The Dynamos boss said they were not going to cut corners in their search for a Pasuwa replacement.
“We are going to advertise the vacant post in local and other regional papers. The reason being that we would want the message to go as far as possible, including beyond our borders. We would want to cast our net wide. We look forward to engaging even a foreign coach if funds permit as long as he is going to be up to the task.”
Coaxed to reveal some of the local names that quickly came to mind, Mubaiwa was quick to mention former Highlanders coach Kaindu, who had a short stint with Triangle United as technical advisor.
Kaindu managed to save the Sugar Boys from relegation after parting ways with Bosso.
“From our local football, I think people like Kelvin Kaindu need to be considered if they apply. He has been doing well at Highlanders for the past three years. To me he has been a fantastic coach. It’s not easy to guide such a big team like Highlanders. If he can manage to lead Highlanders what will stop him from doing us a good job. Look at the final log standing,” said Mubaiwa.
“We are considering coaches of teams who finished in the top four as well as a foreign coach. That means we want Norman Mapeza, Taurai Mangwiro and Saul Chaminuka. [Kelvin] Kaindu is a foreigner and we are contemplating on him. No other local coach can handle Dynamos. This time we are serious and we need one of those.”
After receiving his Uefa B coaching badges, Kaindu became the most qualified coach in our local football. The badges allow him to coach even in England. “All these coaches have done well for their teams if you look at it closely.”
Mubaiwa could not reveal how soon the advert was going to be published.
Kaindu said: “No comment on that for now.”
