Dynamos yesterday left Harare without Ronald Chitiyo and Carlos Rusere who are with the national team at the Cosafa Cup.

They also left behind the injured quintet of Simba Nhivi, Obey Mwerahari, Qadr Amini, Nigel Gandari and Erick Opoku.

Already under pressure to reclaim top spot after just nine games into the season, it could be a dreadful afternoon for Mandigora who will be facing a full-strength How Mine.

This is in contrast to Luke Masomere’s How Mine who are just missing Tawanda Muparati who has a long-term ankle injury. How Mine welcome back from injury Devon Chafa, Godfrey Nguwodzawo and Thembani Masuku.

Having managed just 10 goals in nine matches, How Mine have not lived up to their pre-season billing following the acquisition of Charles Sibanda, Benjamin Marere and Limited Chikafa to add on to Kuda Musharu.

After finishing last season as joint top goal-scorer with Kuda Musharu, Sibanda is yet to score this season.

Musharu has found target only once, the same as Marare, while Chikafa has scored twice with midfielder Timothy January being the club’s top marksman with four goals.

Masomere has however come to the defence of his seemingly potent strikeforce.

“I am happy with the improvement in attack,” said Masomere.

“It is only a matter of time and goals will start flowing in. I do not want to put my strikers under unnecessary pressure.” Dynamos have also hit a bad patch although last week they scrapped a last-gasp 1-0 win over FC Platinum while How Mine have failed to knit two straight wins.
