A devoted church minister, Takaedza is passionate about women empowerment, a discourse she is taking to all corners of the country, converting many a woman to follow Jesus Christ along the way.

For her, the women empowerment matrix is never complete without achieving an independent, enterprising and well-mannered and God-fearing woman. Talk of the typical biblical Ruth whose unquestionable standing moved even her mother-in law, Naomi!

“A woman of standard should be conscious to the fact that each of us has a personal calling that is unique as a fingerprint and the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and impart it into others,” she said.

“Even when matched up with a man, a woman of standard should be fully aware of the fact that God created a woman as a suitable helper and not a servant of a man.”

Takaedza is the founder of Woman of Standard Ministries under the New Revelation Glass House Ministries International, together with her husband Bishop Ancelem Takaedza Gwaze. The couple is blessed with two sons David and Alexander as well as daughter, Tatenda.

She is a self-believer in the abilities of women and is involved in philanthropy. Takaedza is a vivid supporter of gospel initiatives as she seeks to create a woman of standard who is confident with her passion.

“A woman of standard does not necessarily come by natural birth, but by personal endeavour coupled with grooming and mentoring and that is why I have written the book, A Woman Of Standard, as it serves to ignite women’s confidence, raise her faith and make her remain in touch with her femininity without intimidation with a high degree of self-esteem,” she said.

Takaedza who is also an entrepreneur with business interests in fashion, last week launched a motivational book, A Woman Of Standard, which seeks to empower women with life changing skills.

“The standards a woman sets herself can make her break forth from the back tier to the front tier and to be the best among the rest. This book seeks to end the barrier that most women set for them, giving them the hunger and drive to achieve more,” said Takaedza.

“We have come to the realisation that women have set themselves barriers that they cannot go into the fields dominated by men and sometimes when hit by hard times tend to cry about a lot of problems”.

She encouraged women to be economic and work hard in families as they seek to be independent in the evolving world. “We need women to be confident and be success-driven in all aspects of life as they network with other members of society.

“Women should find ways of overcoming any difficult situation and venture into money-spinning projects despite how small they are, as everything starts from humble beginnings,” said the bishop who holds a degree in theology.

She said the motivation factor behind the book was her mother whom she said was a hard worker. Takaedza also said her experience with women was driving factor in the authoring of the book.

“I have been dealing with girls from school and we realised that there is this problem with women that they want to feel inferior, but I urge them to be self-confident. My main source of inspiration was my mother who worked extra hard to complement our father’s income and this was how I defined a woman of standard and wanted to share with other women that we can do what men can do,” said Takaedza.
