All did not go well for Triangle coach Kelvin Kaindu, who claimed to have been assaulted by Harare City security officials before the start of their match at Rufaro Stadium yesterday, before watching in disbelief as his side missed from a penalty spot for a share of spoils.

BY HENRY MHARA The draw means Triangle — who had a storming start to the season — have gone seven games in all competitions without a win.

Kaindu said a marshal smashed a gate against his leg as he was entering the stadium, hurting his feet and leaving him with a broken nail. The former Highlanders coach said he was going to make a police report on the incident.

On the pitch, Ronald Mudimu, the away side’s goalkeeper, was the fall guy when his poor spot kick, struck straight down the middle and was well saved by City keeper Maxwell Nyamupangedengu in first half added time.

The penalty was awarded after defender Arnold Chivheya brought down Felix Kutswatuka inside the box.

Triangle had earlier hit the bar when the exciting Malvin Gaki’s free kick was tipped by Nyamupangedengu on to the woodwork.

The two teams exhibited some good football, especially in the second half and both created good chances, but never really troubled goalkeepers.
