The title-chasing platinum miners have gone 15 matches unbeaten as they closed the gap by Chicken Inn to four points with the log leaders set to play defending champions Dynamos at Barbourfields Stadium this afternoon.

Platinum are now on 45 points, with Dynamos on the third spot with 42 points going into today’s match against the GameCocks.

After the goalless draw, Mapeza still would not want to say a word on the championship.

“We were in control of everything but we lacked creativity in the final third. For me, it’s a golden point and it was a good performance from my boys,” Mapeza said.

But things are still not looking good for Tsholotsho who are on position 13 with 22 points as ZPC Kariba got their third league win under Sunday Chidzambwa, beating Flame Lily 1-0 at Rufaro Stadium to move to 27 points. However, coach Lizwe Sweswe is still optimistic.

“We are trying to survive relegation and in every game that we play, we must pick up a point or three. This point will help us going forward in the relegation fight,” Sweswe said.
