House of Zaron Cosmetics is the local franchise holder of an international hair and beauty products concern — Zaron International Limited.

Addressing guests during the launch, the company’s managing director Prince Moyo described House of Zaron Cosmetics as a one-stop cosmetics haven.

“This is a place where one cannot only do their shopping for beauty products, but also get educated about the correct type of make-up and skin care products for individual skin types,” Moyo said.

The Zaron brand was conceived in Leeds, United Kingdom in 2010 and began operations in Lagos, Nigeria in September 2011. It has since spread to Ghana and other countries in west Africa.

Popular Nigerian actress Rita Dominic is the Zaron brand ambassador in that part of Africa and Moyo said a brand ambassador for Zimbabwe will soon be unveiled.

Redefining the essence of beauty is the Zaron motto and the brand’s mission is described as a dedication to the enhancement of the well-being and quality of lives of all people through the development, marketing, distribution and sale of quality lifestyle products . The House of Zaron Cosmetics launch was graced by some of Bulawayo’s celebrities who included actress and businesswoman Sarah Mpofu, radio and television presenter Nyasha Mtamangira, socialite Gilmore Tee and the multi-talented Mbo Mahocs who was the director of ceremony for the night.

Guests were treated to free make-overs and tutorials on proper make-up application by in house make-up artistes.

Moyo said House of Zaron Cosmetics will also offer beauty therapy services.

“The idea is to provide a service that offers the whole package in terms of beauty and cosmetology and House of Zaron Cosmetics will in the near future be offering spa and massage services,” he said.

The establishment is the first to bring the Zaron brand to southern Africa and plans are afoot to spread to neighbouring countries.
