TALENTED drummer Obert Gomba is back at Alick Macheso’s Orchestra Mberikwazvo outfit after dumping the sungura group in 2013.

Gomba, together with Noel Nyazanda, Jonas Kasamba and Francis “Franco Slomo” Dhaka deserted Macheso to form their own group Extra Kwazvose.
Orchestra Mberikwazvo spokesperson Lucky Macheso on Friday confirmed that Gomba had indeed rejoined the group.
The dreadlocked drummer is no doubt one of the best sungura drummers in Zimbabwe and his return is being felt as he is part of Macheso’s entourage that is currently performing at various shows across the country.
Said Lucky: “Yes, I can confirm that Gomba is back with us. This time around he has rejoined for good.”
“We are happy with the development. Gomba is also happy to have us once again. He is a seasoned drummer who has seen it all in the sungura industry and his experience will certainly be needed.”
