Exact dates for the friendly match are yet to be confirmed as the platinum miners are waiting for clearance from Zifa, but the team’s media liaison officer Chido Chizondo confirmed the development.

“We are going to Zambia for an international friendly match against Mufulira Wanderers. The dates are yet to be confirmed by Zifa but all the important logistics for the match have been laid out.

“We are, however, not going to do a pre-season training camp away from home. We will be based here as we prepare for the new season. The club is also preparing for other pre-season friendly matches and tournaments,” she said.

Chizondo also said all their players had now reported for duty and the technical department was down to business.

“We have started our pre-season training. All our players including new acquisitions, have reported for duty in Zvishavane,” said Chizondo.

The miners have bolstered their squad with the likes of former Warriors starter Rodwell Chinyengetere, promising central midfielder Nqobizitha Masuku and Soccer Star of the Year finalist Hillary Bakacheza.
