Kasinauyo said this after receiving Pasuwa’s Chan report which he however said was not the factor that was holding the decision.

“I can assure you that the Pasuwa case will be finalised tomorrow. He has submitted his Chan report which I have given myself time to go through, but that does not mean the report has been the stumbling block in this case,” Kasinauyo said.

The powers be at Zifa had pushed for the deal to be concluded yesterday, but Kasinauyo said there was need to move the final meeting to tomorrow.

The last time Zifa and Pasuwa’s handlers met, they failed to agree on various issues of the contract including salary and length of the contract. The coach had to leave for the Chan finals in Rwanda without a contract.

Despite what the nation viewed as dismal performance at the just ended Chan competition coupled by the Warriors’ fall on the Fifa rankings, it appears Pasuwa will keep his job after getting thumbs up from Zifa chief benefactor Wicknell Chivayo.

Chivayo last week said Pasuwa would retain the 2016 Toyota D4D vehicle he bought for the coach before the team left for Rwanda.

Chivayo has done a lot for the beleaguered football association including settling part of Tom Sainfiet’s outstanding payment which has haunted Zifa for a long time and threatened to have Zimbabwe booted out of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers again.

Chivayo has already paid a total of $150 000 with the balance of $34 000 set to be settled next week.

After the Chan mishap, the Warriors slumped 23 places down the ladder to moves from position 108 to 131 on the global football ranking.

The Warriors, now ranked 41 in Africa have surpassed their worst record ever – 118, in 2010 since the global football body introduced the ranking system in 1993.
