Contemporary musician Jah Prayzah will on Friday take his latest offering Mdhara Vachauya to Chitungwiza’s home of entertainment, Tanza Centre.

Arguably Zimbabwe’s biggest crowd-puller, Jah Prayzah will be supported by upcoming musician Portiphar Mopo in a show that marks the opening of the “summer season gigs” at Tanza Centre.
Tanza Centre had suspended open-air shows during winter and the management saw it fit to kickstart the summer season entertainment menu with man of the moment, Jah Prayzah.
“As you know, we had suspended open-air shows because of the low temperatures in the past three months. We have resumed our open-air shows and we are starting with Jah Prayzah,” said Tanza Centre manager Richard Chibvongodze.
Tanza Centre opened its doors late last year and it has proved to be a popular joint in Chitungwiza, attracting people from Harare and Marondera.
“We believe the customer is the king and we look forward to bringing more music shows. The last time Jah Prayzah was here, it was a full house and we assure our customers that this time around, Jah Prayzah will be hot, especially with songs from his latest album,” he said.

Jah Prayzah is expected to perform his hit album Mdhara Vachauya, which includes plug tracks such as Hossana, Tsotsi, Seke Mutema and Watora Mari. He is likely to take his fans down memory lane and perform tracks that include Eriza, Chinamira, Gochi Gochi, Tsviriyo and Kumbumura Mhute, among others.
Chibvongodze said the joint has guarded parking and the venue itself accommodates several people. He said the bar is stocked with various beverages and plenty of meat products for braai.
