The company is offering temporary jobs recruitment and will supply labour to companies that require large banks of labour on temporary basis. Job Scout is therefore bridging the gap between employers and job seekers.

Commenting at the launch of the new product on the market, co-founder Thulani Mswelanto said; “The new product resembles the norm in developed economies where students in tertiary institutions can seek part-time employment during weekends and may work for not more than 20 hours per week during the semester.”

“Our role has been to chat new trends in the recruitment industry and provide cutting edge products that resonate with global trends. We believe in providing solutions and placing Zimbabwe on the radar of international human resourcing practises,” said Ogylive Makova, the other co-founder of Job Scout Zimbabwe.

Mswelanto said the facility was meant to cushion students against hardships and provide the much-needed extra income for their daily expenses.

“Our target is to create part-time employment opportunities for students in polytechnics and universities in the interim and the long-term goal is to spread it across all institutions,” he said.

Tertiary institutions have welcomed the launch of the new facility for students with a senior lecturer at Midlands State University saying the relief employment comes at a time when students in tertiary institutions were facing difficulties in meeting their living expenses, with rampant cases of unethical conduct as a result of the desperation.

He said such an initiative would improve the lives of students at tertiary institutions.
