The event, to be held at Lake Chivero (Fish Eagle) and the first of its kind in the country, will bring together various meat companies and stakeholders while entertainment will be provided by artists like MC Chittah, Myke Pimps, Quality, Tipsy Mabhanditi, Empress Shelly and Ninja Lipsy.
Core-founder of the festival Tawanda Mike Madzara said the festival was meant to develop, promote local products and empower young people.
“Our aim is to provide developmental opportunities to young people,” he said.
“We also want to promote local products and services so that we increase destination competitiveness in the region through trendy and fun activities such as braai master competition, fishing competition, beach volleyball and eating competition.”
He said the braai festival was meant to welcome the month of November as an introductory to the festive season while at the same time inculcating a culture of domestic tourism among Zimbabweans.

“It is high time our fellow Zimbabweans travelled to different places within the country in the name of entertainment. Fish Eagle is one of the best recreational hotspots with a beautiful lakefront at Lake Chivero,” he said.
Madzara said the Braai November Festival was open to companies that would love to do their early festive merry-making.
“Braai November has come at the most convenient time where it creates convenience for those companies that would want to take advantage of this event to do early end of year celebrations. This has never happened in the history of Zimbabwe and it’s an idea yet to be explored at Braai November,” he said.
