Congregants, some from as far afield as Beitbridge, Bulawayo, Victoria Falls and Kariba, started trickling into the venue on Friday, while a large chunk was expected last night.

Goodness and Mercy Ministries founder Prophet Freddy, famed for the “spiritual spectacles”, said today’s event was a unique miracle service. He said it was God’s work at play and was something he was doing to show that he will not succumb to pressure from his rivals.

“The Spiritual Spectacles Sunday is a retaliation to those who are against the church. I am showing these detractors that I am not giving up on the work God assigned me to do,” he said.

The prophet said the “spiritual spectacles” have created more enemies than friends for him. He said some people, especially those who would have been exposed through the “spiritual spectacles” were baying for his blood.

Freddy, claims that the “spiritual spectacles” allowed people to see their past and future, giving them the ability to see the “second world”. On September 2, Goodness and Mercy Ministries hosted Spiritual Spectacles Night 2 where 1 000 congregants managed to see in spiritual realms.

The Musana-born prophet said there were many testimonies about the “spiritual spectacles”.

“We have a lot of stories about financial prosperity, recoveries from illness, building of marriages and even people who have recovered stolen items. There are so many people who are coming to us because of our work,” he said.

Freddy was born in Musana in Mashonaland Central province, but grew up in Glen View. He said he got a calling from God at a tender age.

“My parents claimed that when I was 18 months old, I could prophesy. Mine was a calling from God and in 2005, I had founded Goodness and Mercy Ministries,” he said.
