Leeknotic is a marvel to watch every time he graces the stage with his pack of dancers with well-choreographed dance moves.

The soft-spoken musician features Botswana musician Gyvos on his first single titled Zumba.

Zumba is a dance track, fused with African elements.

The artist has taken part in many live gigs in the city namely, the Bayethe concert at Intwasa Festival of Arts KoBulawayo, Bulawayo Jam sessions and We Honour Our Legends concert.

“It’s been an eventful year for me, I have been involved in a number of shows that have helped me to introduce myself to the people in the streets. A lot of people have been requesting for the songs I perform at live shows, yet some of them are not fully-fledged songs. Zumba is the only one available,” he said.

Zumba was released last month and is available on online music distribution platform Traxsource. It has been receiving favourable airplay on Skyz Metro FM.

The track was also launched on Botswana Television’s show Flava Dome, where Leeknotic and DJ Gyvos featured performing the song.

“Launching the track in Botswana and in Zimbabwe got me more mileage. I managed to tap into two different markets at once, and the Botswana people really love the track as well as the Zimbabwean crowd,” he said.

Born in Bulawayo, the musician spent his childhood in Botswana before moving back to Zimbabwe.

“I was born in Zimbabwe, but grew up in Botswana. I came back to Zimbabwe when my parents relocated back, but I have always stayed in touch with the Tswana crowd and connections, since that’s where I started off music at,” he said

Leeknotic is signed under the Afro Platinum Music record label, run by Reason “Rizla” Sibanda which also has award winning TKP.
