A Harare-based church — Goodness and Mercy Ministries — will host a conference dubbed, Power Of the Cross! Easter Conference where thousands of congregants drawn from all over the country are expected to attend.

Goodness and Mercy Ministries founder, Prophet Tapiwa Freddy will lead the conference.

“What I want people to know is that I am not a miracle specialist, but I also do other things as commandeered by the Lord. Easter is the time when we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and at Goodness and Mercy Ministries, we are inviting you to be part of these celebrations,” he said.

Freddy said he is just an ordinary man who is being used by God to do extraordinary work.

“Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt but he was a shepherd. He paid attention to God’s call when He talked to him through the burning bush. I am only doing what God asked me to do,” he said.

The man of the cloth who is renowned for his “spiritual miracles” said the conference would focus on evangelising and reaching out to the larger community.

“We support a devoted community of people who develop a relationship with God in an engaging and empowering way, hence the reason why we are holding our conference at the church premises in the heart of Glen View,” he said.

He said the conference will start on Good Friday and ends on Easter Sunday.

“On Good Friday and Easter Saturday, we start at 6pm and end at 9pm while on Easter Sunday, we will have a service that starts at 10am and ends at 3pm. We are inviting everyone to come and celebrate with us. It’s all about celebrating the life of Jesus Christ, the one who gives us the power to do miracles,” he said.
