Black Rhinos . . . (0) 1 Triangle . . . . . . . (1) 1
THERE were wild scenes of jubilation from the sympathetic fans after Lot Chiwunga scored a dramatic late equaliser to earn Black Rhinos their first point in eight Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matches after a hard-fought draw against Triangle at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.

Rhinos, top of the log leaders at the halfway stage of the season, were staring an eighth straight loss before Chiwunga saved the day.
“For sure, I am a relieved man today. I was sleeping with one eye open but today l will sleep with both eyes closed,” a visibly relieved Stanford Mtizwa could afford a joke after the game.
“I am happy with this point and I happy because the confidence of my boys is back going forward,” he added.
Rusell Madamombe’s free kick in the first two minutes almost gave the visitors a dream start to the match, but Black Rhinos goalkeeper Herbert Razawo sprung to the soldiers’ rescue with an acrobatic save.
Triangle, however, seized the initiative as Lameck Nhamo broke the deadlock inside 10 minutes, dancing past a cluster of defenders to beat Rusawo from the edge of the box. Roy Mwenga almost restored parity deep into the half, but was thwarted by Triangle goalkeeper Tapiwa Chilenga.

The home fans’ patience paid dividends as Chiwunga grabbed the equaliser in the 88th minute, heading home a Wilson Chakanyuka cross.
“Such is the cruelty of football ball, when we thought we had done more than enough to get three points, we conceded a goal at the end,” a disappointed Triangle coach Taurai Mangwiro said after the game.
