Samaita, who fronts Murondatsimba Express, is holding shows in Rupinda, Mozambique this week, before he travels to Livingstone in Zambia.

The businessman-cum-musician told The Standard Style on Thursday that he was happy that his music was doing well in foreign lands, especially in Mozambique where he commands a huge following.

“As a group, we are happy that we will be taking our acts to other countries. This shows that our music is growing and it is so encouraging to note that my music is being recognised beyond borders,” he said.

“We are ready for the shows and we will give our best and be good music ambassadors. It is our desire that we will continue taking our music to different parts of the world.”

A close friend of the late sungura icon Tongai “Dehwa” Moyo, Samaita said they were now sampling some songs from their forthcoming album during live shows.

“Our playlist during live shows is a mixture of old songs and new ones from our forthcoming album that we are polishing up. We want to give our best at all the shows,” said Samaita.

Many Zimbabweans and Mozambicans living in Manica and Chimoio provinces of Mozambique have embraced Samaita’s music considering the popularity and amount of airplay he is getting on radio stations.

Samaita has four albums namely Nemiwo Munazvo, Murodzi Wepfungwa, Tsono and Kumazivandadzoka.
