PE, Chisipite retain Sprints Challenge titles

HOSTS Prince Edward [PE] and Chisipite re-asserted their dominance on the Zimbabwean school sports athletics scene after they successfully defended their titles in the boys’ and girls’ categories in the annual PE Sprint Challenge on Wednesday afternoon.

The hosts were the toast in the boys’ Sprint Challenge category, finishing on 138 points followed by St George’s College, who had 111 points while Peterhouse School finished third on 100 points.

St John’s College finished fourth with Gateway in fifth position and Sodbury sixth, while Watershed finished bottom of the standings in the boys’ Sprint Challenge which attracted a total of seven schools.

In the girls’ category, Chisipite were in a class of their own, claiming honours with a total of 120 points, nine points ahead of the 2014 and 2015 champions Arundel while Sodbury settled for third with 100 points.

Gateway finished fourth on 85 points while Peterhouse Girls and Girls High School settled for fifth and sixth positions respectively.
