Lillian Mudanikava told Harare Civil Court magistrate Lazini Ncube that her son Josphat Shereni was making life hell on earth for her.
“He’s my oldest son and he insults and assaults me,” she said. “I came to this court so that he stays away from me.”
Shereni told Ncube that he never assaulted his mother, but questioned her why she always jumped over him while he slept on the floor.
“I only approached her to ask her why she jumps over me when I’m sleeping,” he said.
“I sleep in the dining room and she jumps over me in the morning and I told her that it gives me bad luck, but she doesn’t listen.”
However, Shereni confessed that he roughed up his mother when drunk.
