The youthful singer, who was recently in the United Kingdom where he was taking part at several UK music showcases, including the Ethno England Music Camp and Tandem Festival, told The Standard Style that he was now in the US where he was working with Oslon on a number of projects, including recording some tracks on his forthcoming album.

“I am now in the United States where I was invited by band leader of the group Key Ingredients of African Soul, Mike Oslon. I will be recording some tracks from my album Nyamasase at his studio in Tucson Arizona,” Prince K said.

“I have featured on Key Ingredients of African Soul’s latest album titled Spirit Rise Up. Recording starts today [Friday] and I am excited that I am recording with a live band.

“For the first time, I am fusing mbira and saxophone on all my tracks. I am featuring an Arizona-based saxophonist Dr Butch Diggs. This album means a lot to me because it has made me feel the presence of my grandfather August Machona Musarurwa’s spirit. Finally, I have a new sound.”

A month ago Prince K collaborated with Polish violinist Wiola Jakubiec and the two are looking forward to release the album early next year.
